It's summer....

and my blogging has been kept to a minimum. Sorry! I have been doing some stealth knitting though. I have come up with a pattern for a cute triangular kerchief like shawl. Here is a little sneak peak:

It still needs to be blocked, photographed and typed up.

Yes, so summer has been really busy for me and for everyone else I am sure. We went to Ithaca last weekend and hung out with some friends. Which was totally fun and very relaxing. The hostess is also a knitter so we did a little yarn shopping. I picked up some spinning fiber from Knitting Etc. I got this :

On the package was a label from the dyer. It's from:
http://www.wildharefiber.com/. It's pretty isn't it? We then went over to Susan's Spinning Bunny Susan was so warm and friendly! I wish we had gone to see her first! Her yarns and fiber are amazing. My friend Lisa got me this: How nice was that of her! VERY! I brought her down a spindle and taught her to spin. She also bought some fiber. I have brought someone else over to the dark side..... and it's good.

Lastly we went to see the Flaming Lips and the Black Keys on Friday night. WOW. They were INCREDIBLE! I love Wayne Coyne. Hard. He is so awesome.

  1. Nice knitting and fiber! Are both the rovings plain wool? Can't wait to see the kerchief in person!

  2. I'm gonna keep on trying with that spinning thing. Got a couple books from the library, but there's nothing like an in-person lesson. Thanks!
