A quick project

My cousin's birthday is coming up and I wanted to make a quick gift for her birthday. Not something simple or basic, but easy enough as to not take up a lot of time (that I didn't have) I wanted something special too as she is also my godmother.

I decided to whip up another 198 Yards of Heaven Shawlette for her.

I can't say enough good things about this pattern. It is quick, well written, and easy. You only need 198 yards! Which is a typical skein of worsted weight wool. Well perhaps not typical....

I used 1 skein of Berraco Ultra Alpaca. It's a deep purple color. Almost eggplant. I am giving it to her tonight. Hope she likes it!

Edit post:

She loved it! Here she is modeling it:

Below is a picture of her sister-in-law modeling it too. I think she wants one now!

Yay! A success!

  1. Love it! That pattern is still on my to do list, hopefully I'll get at it soon :)

  2. Ooh, it's gorgeous!! She is going to love it.

  3. Love this pattern. I've done two and have yarn for two more! One, I want to make shawl size.

  4. Fantastic! It's on my list...some day...gotta finish up some UFO's.
