Business time...

Where oh where have I been? I must do better than post once a week!

I am very proud of myself. I am getting stuff done. My UFO's that is. But I think I will spread them out so I can have some blog fodder for the next couple of posts.
I gave you a sneak peak of a hat design I was working on. Well I finished it up!
I present: Theodosia

I am teaching classes at my favorite lys and shop owner Susan said we needed a beginner stranded knitting class. So I thought something with a bulky weight yarn would help get the job done fast.
I came up with the name Theodosia because the scrolly work on it reminded me of Victorian scroll work. So what do you do? Google those words and then narrow it down to a list of popular Victorian girl names. There you have it. The yarn is Berroco Pure Merino and it is super soft. This pattern will only be available through the yarn shop though as a kit for now.
I liked it so much I decided to make another one going the opposite way with the colors.
I haven't gotten very far....

  1. I love stranded knitting! I haven't tried anything big like a sweater, but I've made hats and sacks in Fair Isle.
